Courier Post is a subsidiary of NZ Post, they offer nationwide courier service with 4 pickups and deliveries cycles per day. In 1989 New Zealand Post established CourierPost, a nationwide courier company designed to protect the company’s parcel business from private competition. By 1998 CourierPost had become the number one player in the express courier market. ParcelPort is proud to team up with CourierPost to help “deliver” great service to you. In 2004 New Zealand Post announced the formation of Express Couriers, a joint venture with courier company DHL. In 2012 New Zealand Post purchased DHL’s holdings in Express Couriers, Express Couriers operates throughout New Zealand as CourierPost, Pace, and Contract Logistics brands.

You can send to P.O. Boxes/Private Bags and Waiheke Island addresses and some rural addresses at no extra cost. CourierPost has products which make shipping simple. You can select one of their 5 satchel sizes or send using your own packaging. Their satchels are tougher than rhino skin and can hold up to 15kg, they comes in 5 sizes – Letter DLE, Small A5, A4, Medium, Large A3 and Extra Large A2.

Alternatives: PACE Couriers provides point to point under 1 hour, 2 hour and 3 hour across town urgent courier services, PACE is available in major cities. If cost is your main concern, Castle Parcels maybe a good alternative. Castle Parcels are one of the cheap courier services available, however, they don’t provide overnight express service between islands and they only provide 2 pickup and delivery cycle runs per day. Castle Parcels is only available for Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington customers
